Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man suspected of being one of the Antelope Valley’s major drug suppliers at a hide-out in Sylmar, authorities said Monday.

Javier Gutierrez had a $1-million warrant out for his arrest when sheriff’s narcotics investigators found him in his Sylmar apartment Friday, said Sgt. Jim Jennings, supervisor of the narcotics squad. Gutierrez was arrested without incident.

Deputies first served a warrant on Gutierrez’s Palmdale house on Avenue S on Nov. 16, Jennings said. Investigators did not find Gutierrez but discovered more than 50 pounds of marijuana, cocaine and methamphetamine, he said.
