Norman Sidelined by Chickenpox

The pleurisy that resulted in Ken Norman being hospitalized Saturday turned out to be the least of his problems. The Clippers learned Monday that their starting small forward has chickenpox.
He is expected to be sidelined until the All-Star break, another six games. They will decide today whether to put him on the injured list and bring someone in on a 10-day contract.
The team’s medical staff said the chickenpox is not related to the pleurisy, an inflammation of the chest lining, and that, before the chicken pox was discovered, he had been feeling well enough that he probably would have played tonight.
