LONG BEACH : Car Salesman Survives Execution-Style Shooting

Share

A Long Beach car salesman survived an execution-style shooting Thursday night after three men walked into his family-run used auto dealership, corralled the employees in an office and ordered them to lie on the floor.

Windsor Valcinus, 32, was injured when the bullet grazed his neck, said a spokesman for Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. Valcinus said Friday he felt fine but was still in shock about the shooting at Dietrich Motors in the 6400 block of Long Beach Boulevard.

“They came in as customers at first. They said they wanted to buy a car,” Valcinus said. Then the men dispersed, pulled out guns and forced three employees and the owner into an office, where they were robbed while on the floor, said Valcinus and others.

“There was no reason for him to shoot me. It’s not like I was resisting or fighting,” Valcinus said. “Then, I felt something hot in my neck. It’s crazy.”

The men stole a car and fled, sheriff’s officials said.
