Fullerton, Irvine Sign Six to Play Volleyball

Six athletes have signed letters of intent to play women’s volleyball at UC Irvine and Cal State Fullerton, the schools’ coaches announced Tuesday.

Stacy Mitchell, a 5-foot-10 outside hitter from College of the Sequoias, and Jennifer Dunn, a 6-3 middle blocker from Westlake High School, signed with Irvine. Mitchell was the Coast Valley Conference’s most valuable player last season.

Fullerton signed Lisi Fa’agata, a 5-11 middle blocker from West Hills College, and Jennifer Lipski, a 5-9 middle blocker from San Francisco Lowell High. Two Yosemite High players, Chelsea Wilhite, a 5-10 setter, and Pine Reed, a 6-0 middle blocker, also signed with Fullerton.
