The Region : Hazardous-Waste Roundup
The county Department of Public Works will have a free household hazardous-waste roundup from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 13 at Home Savings of America, 4900 Rivergrade Road, Irwindale.
Items such as motor oil, paint, herbicides and batteries, which cannot be disposed of in the garbage or sink, will be collected. The limit is five gallons or 50 pounds per vehicle.
