Playa del Rey St. Bernard, 75, Santa Ynez 50--Kelly Shimabukuro made six three-point shots and finished with a game-high 22 points to lead the Vikings (26-4) to the Southern Section IV-AA title at El Segundo High.

“I just couldn’t believe I made them,” said Shimabukuro, a 5-foot-4 senior who made 59 three-pointers during the season.

Leading at halftime, 36-25, St. Bernard went on a 24-8 run to take a 60-33 lead at the end of three quarters and increased the lead to 75-40 late in the fourth.

Santa Ynez (26-2) was led by Erin Alexander and Becky Rochelle, who both scored 11 points.

Olympia Scott had 13 points and nine rebounds for St. Bernard.
