COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Titans to Resume Game With Washington

The Cal State Fullerton softball team will resume its game against Washington in the Pony Tournament at 9 a.m. today at the Titan Softball Complex.

The game was suspended Thursday night because of rain in the bottom of the sixth inning with the score tied, 0-0. Cal State Fullerton is 0-1 in Pool A play. Washington is 1-0.

In the Hawaii Hilo round-robin softball tournament:

Hawaii Pacific 6, Southern California College 1--Carrie Nelson hit a home run for visiting SCC (21-8-2). In another tournament game, Angela Vega hit a two-run triple in the Vanguards’ 14-3 loss to Hawaii Hilo.

In nonconference softball:

Christ College Irvine 4-4, Pacific Christian 0-5--Christ College Irvine (3-11) split the doubleheader at home, with Stephanie Viola (2-5) pitching a complete-game shutout in the opener. Lisa Merenda went four for seven and Amy Bonacorsi was three for six in the two games.

In Golden State Athletic Conference men’s tennis:

Point Loma Nazarene 5, Southern California College 4--Aaron Webster won at No. 2 singles and teamed with Bobby Carlton for a victory at No. 1 doubles for Southern California College (10-7).
