In Century League girls’ swimming:

Canyon 105, Orange 65--Michelle Maloney, Lisa Hess, Alice Kim each won two events and swam legs on the winning 200-medley and 400-freestyle relay teams for Canyon (6-1, 2-0).

In Sea View League girls’ swimming:

Irvine 118, Newport Harbor 52--Irvine’s Alice Huszcz shaved five seconds off her 200 individual medley time (2:17.95) to qualify for the Southern Section championships.

Corona del Mar 106, Tustin 64--Sophomore Melanie Pells qualified in the 100 freestyle for the Southern Section meet, winning in 56.32 for Corona del Mar (3-2, 3-1). Pells, who has already qualified in six events, beat the time standard by more than a second.

In Century League boys’ swimming:

Foothill 91, Villa Park 79--Tim Chaix won the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly and David Hay won the 50 freestyle and 100 breaststroke for Foothill (2-2, 2-0).

In Sea View League boys’ swimming:

Irvine 90, Newport Harbor 80--Jason Lezak won the 50 and 100 freestyles and Steven Ronson won the 100 butterfly and 100 breaststroke for Irvine (5-0, 4-0).

Corona del Mar 121, Tustin 53--Junior Crosby Grant won the 200 freestyle (1:50.07) and the 100 freestyle (50.95) for Corona del Mar.
