Western 6, Magnolia 4--Marcus Robinson had a hit, two runs and a stolen base for visiting Western (6-4-1, 2-1-1), which scored three runs in the first inning.

Chris Holiday entered with no outs in the sixth with runners on first and second and retired the next three batters, two on strikeouts.

Brea-Olinda 4, Anaheim 3--Jason Thies had two hits, singling to drive in the run in the fourth that proved to be the game-winner for Brea-Olinda (7-2-1, 3-0-1).

Buena Park 4, Fullerton 1--Alfonso Flores pitched a two-hitter, striking out nine and allowing two walks for Buena Park (6-2, 2-2).

La Habra 3, Sonora 0--Rusty Volkert went two for three with two RBIs and Jeremy Payne and Mike Perez combined on the shutout for La Habra (3-3-1, 2-1-1).

Kennedy 22, Rancho Alamitos 4--John Guthrie hit two home runs and R.J. Gonzales and Mike Loya hit one each for Kennedy (7-6, 3-1), which had 25 hits.

La Quinta 10, Pacifica 3--Zane Parkin, who had a two-run home run in the first, went two for three with three RBIs for La Quinta (9-2, 3-0).

Bolsa Grande 6, Los Amigos 3--Kevin Machini helped Bolsa Grande (2-6-1, 1-2) break its six-game losing streak, going three for three with two RBIs.

In Sea View League baseball:

Woodbridge 9, University 7--Scott Coker hit a grand slam for host Woodbridge with one out in the bottom of the seventh to complete a six-run inning. Ryan Lemmon, who took the mound with one out in the fifth, earned the victory for the Warriors (10-2, 2-1). Eric Wei had two doubles and two RBI in the fifth for University (7-3-1, 1-1-1).

In the South Coast League:

Capistrano Valley 4, El Toro 1--Don Lauder had a double in the fourth for Capistrano Valley (3-1 in league).

Mater Dei 4, Dana Hills 3--Adam Harris of Mater Dei pitched a four-hitter and had a shutout until the seventh inning, when Chris Fogleson hit a two-out, three-run home run for Dana Hills. Jeff Frankel had two RBIs for top-ranked Mater Dei (9-1, 4-0). Dana Hills is 6-5, 1-3.
