Claudio Caniggia, a forward for AS Roma and Argentina’s national soccer team, failed a cocaine test after an Italian League match and will face a suspension of six months to two years.
The announcement came after testing of a second urine sample Caniggia gave after a March 21 game. A suspension may cause Caniggia to miss the 1994 World Cup. The Italian League’s disciplina1920540771
