Two juveniles were arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon Sunday night after a gang-related fight in which two youths were stabbed in the back and two others injured, police said.

The names of the suspects were not released because of their ages and the names of the victims, who are also minors, were not immediately available, police said.

The altercation was believed to have been between feuding members of rival youth gangs, said Santa Ana Police Sgt. Dick Faust.

The fight occurred shortly after 7 p.m. at the northeast corner of McFadden Avenue and Euclid Street, Faust said. The suspects fled through a carnival being held across the street at St. Barbara’s Catholic Church, but were later apprehended in the area, he said.

The stabbing victims were treated and released at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, a hospital spokeswoman said. The other victims were taken to Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center, according to police, but their condition was not immediately available, a hospital spokeswoman said.
