Koresh and Waco Tragedy

Regarding responsibility for what happened in Waco, Stange has no hesitancy to place full responsibility squarely on the government. “The fact that a bunch of ‘crazy’ religious fanatics were involved in no way justified the severity of the actions that were taken against Koresh and his followers. What we don’t like or understand . . . we make the subject of jokes. Sometimes, we kill it.”

The truth is, “we” or our government did not kill anything or anyone. David Koresh and his followers, including the “mothers whose maternal instincts” did indeed fail them, set the fires and did the killing. What kind of masochistic mentality must it require to conclude otherwise?
