In response to “The Child Brides of California,” May 4:
Your article is an excellent report for anyone concerned about state income taxes. With the use state welfare money, the Hmong men are practicing a tradition of their culture that includes children giving birth to children.
This practice points out the need to control reproduction of the poor and especially poor immigrants. They abuse our welfare system that is intended to reduce human misery, not promote it.
The humanitarian answer to our state’s financial problem is sterilization of women on welfare with one or more children.
