South Gate 6, Marshall 4--Robert Pineda hit a two-run double and scored a run in the bottom of the fifth to lead host South Gate.
The Rams had four hits, but took advantage of seven walks by pitcher Shane Gerard.
South Gate stole five bases and turned three double plays, including one in the top of the fifth.
Marshall mounted a comeback in the seventh, when Guzman Salmon hit a two-run double to make the score 6-4. But Marshall’s Andy Alamillo struck out with a runner on third to end the game.
