Rosters Announced for All-Star Baseball, Softball Games

Players have been selected for the 24th annual South Bay All-Star Baseball Classic and the first South Bay All-Star Softball Classic. Both games are sponsored by the South Bay Athletic Club and will feature the area’s top seniors.

The baseball game will be played at 7 p.m. June 11 at Recreation Park in El Segundo. Jim Beaumont of Mira Costa and Greg Goode of Hawthorne will coach the Blue all-stars, and John Stevenson of El Segundo and Mike Kline of Carson will coach the Red team.

The softball game will be played at 7 p.m. June 12 at Recreation Park. Blue team coaches are Jim Carrico of West Torrance and Mike Tom of Peninsula, and Howard Williams of El Segundo and Kathy Blankenship will coach the Red team.
