Marion Jones of Thousand Oaks High set three meet records in winning the girls’ 100 and 200 meters and long jump in the Golden West Invitational at American River College in Sacramento on Saturday.

Jones, the three-time defending state champion in the 100 and 200, timed 11.31 seconds in the 100, 23.01 in the 200, and she leaped 20 feet 9 inches in the long jump.

Jones has nation-leading marks of 11.28, 23.00 and 21-7 this season.

Jeff Nadeau of Monroe and Cheaza Figueroa of Quartz Hill also won events.

Nadeau, who set a City Section record of 7-2 1/4 in winning the high jump in the Valley Pac-8 Conference finals last month, was one of four jumpers to clear 6-10, but he placed first because he was the only one to clear that height on his first attempt.

Figueroa bounded 39-5 1/2 in the girls’ triple jump and she also placed third in the 100-meter high hurdles with a time of 14.81.

In other events, Margarito Casillas of Hoover High placed third in the boys’ 3,200 meters and Ty Gaines of Palmdale finished fourth in the triple jump.

Casillas timed 9 minutes 13.13 seconds and Gaines spanned 48-7.

Karen Bockel of Nordhoff placed a disappointing fourth in the girls’ 3,200.

Bockel, an exchange student from Germany, timed 11:14.44, well off her personal best of 10:48.0
