Brillstein/Grey Entertainment, the production/management firm now riding high with the HBO comedy hit “The Larry Sanders Show,” starring client Garry Shandling, is about to boost its film production in a major way.

The company, headed by Bernie Brill-stein and Brad Grey, is hiring veteran producer Howard Rosenman to head its film division. Rosenman, co-president of Sandy Gallin’s and Dolly Parton’s Sandollar Productions, produced the hit film “Father of the Bride.” He starts Sept. 21 at Brillstein/Grey after his contract with Sandollar expires.

Brillstein/Grey believes it can comfortably produce three to four pictures a year, Grey said.
