The following are selected entries from the crime logs of local law enforcement agencies from July 26 to Aug. 1.

Glendale

Altura Avenue, 3300 block--A thief posing as a window washer entered a senior citizen’s home to give an estimate and stole $800 between noon and 3 p.m. July 26.

Glencoe Way, 1900 block--Thieves hot-wired an automatic opener to enter a garage and steal water skis and bicycles valued at $950. They rode away on the bikes carrying the skis at 1:10 p.m. July 28.

North Glendale Avenue, 600 block--A restaurant employee was suspected of stealing $1,200 from the restaurant safe between 2 and 10:30 p.m. July 28.

Bel Aire Drive, 1700 block--Thieves stole cash, jewelry and personal items, valued together at $2,050, from a private residence during a yard sale between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. July 29.

San Fernando Road and Colorado Street--Muggers hit a man in the face and stole his appointment book containing $37 at 3:35 p.m. Aug. 1.

La Canada Flintridge

Foothill Boulevard, 1300 block--Burglars stole cash and a register, valued together at $267, from a lock and key store. The theft was discovered July 26.

Echo Park

Scott Avenue, 2100 block--Thieves hit and kicked a woman after forcing her and her companion out of their car, then stole the woman’s purse containing credit cards and $45 at 11:40 p.m. July 29.

Eagle Rock

Colorado Boulevard and Figueroa Street--Robbers with guns approached a car in a gasoline station and stole jewelry and telephone equipment, valued together at $955, from the motorist at 10:45 a.m. July 27.

Medlow Avenue, 2400 block--Burglars broke into a private residence and stole cash and guns, valued together at $1,420, between 6:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. July 28.

Fair Park Avenue, 1800 block--Entering a private residence through the front door, thieves stole video equipment and technical instruments, valued together at $1,300, between 10 and 10:45 a.m. July 28.

Fair Park Avenue, 2200 block--Thieves entered a clothing store and stole $900 from the register while a store employee was in the back at 6:50 p.m. July 28.

Colorado Boulevard and Townsend Avenue--A robber with a gun stole $50 from a man at 4 p.m. July 29.

Campus Road, 1600 block--Thieves entered a college building at an unlocked window and stole computer equipment, valued at $7,003, on July 29 or 30.

York Boulevard, 4500 block--After punching a business owner, thieves stole $1,500 at 5:25 p.m. July 30.

Eagle Rock Boulevard, 4800 block--A robber posing as a customer stole $25 at gunpoint from a business at 9 p.m. July 30.

Glassell Park

Isabel Street, 1600 block--Thieves stole video equipment and clothing, valued together at $2,805, from a private residence between July 27 and 28.

Toland Way, 3800 block--After forcing open a back door of a private residence, thieves stole a TV and video equipment, valued together at $2,000, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. July 30.

Griffith Park

East Observatory Road, 3000 block--Thieves stole a car from a man at gunpoint at 3:45 p.m. July 29.

Highland Park

Avenue 52 and Monte Vista Street--After crashing into a woman’s car, robbers pointed a gun at her and stole luggage and jewelry, valued together at $10,340, at 9:30 p.m. July 27.

North Avenue 54, 800 block--Burglars entered the front door of a high school and stole a TV and business machines, valued together at $600, on July 27 or 28.

North Avenue 54, 800 block--After forcing open a side door, thieves entered a high school and ransacked a room between July 27 and 29.

York Boulevard, 6300 block--Robbers with a gun approached a man in a parking lot and stole $60 from him at 10 p.m. July 28.

Meridian and Figueroa streets--Thieves entered a store and made some purchases, then followed a man out, stealing $19 from him at 12:15 p.m. July 29.

North Figueroa Street, 6400 block--Someone broke a window at a junior high school and threw a lighted match onto a bookcase between 5:15 and 5:40 p.m. July 31.

Los Feliz

North Kenmore Avenue, 1100 block--Robbers entered a woman’s residence at gunpoint, made her and her companions lie down on a bedroom floor, and stole cash and jewelry, valued together at $830, at 8:45 p.m. July 26.

Hollywood Boulevard, 5000 block--After prying a deadbolt out of a door, thieves entered medical offices and stole computer and business equipment, valued together at $2,700, on July 26 or 27.

North Madison Avenue, 1100 block--Thieves entered a private residence at gunpoint, stealing $300 at 3 p.m. July 27.

Vermont Avenue, 2400 block--A robber with a gun stole $200 from a man on the street at 7:10 p.m. July 27.

Melbourne Avenue, 4300 block--Thieves with a gun stole credit cards and $135 from a woman and her companion as the two sat in a car at 10:45 p.m. July 27.

North Berendo Street, 1700 block--Thieves stole tools and electronic equipment, valued together at $6,035, from a carport on July 27 or 28.

Sunset Boulevard, 4700 block--Thieves stole $1,437 from a medical facility between 5 and 9 p.m. July 28.

Tracy Street, 4200 block--After following a man home, thieves with a gun stole his wallet containing $195 at 11:15 p.m. July 29.

Sanborn Avenue and Sunset Boulevard--Robbers approached a man in his car and stole his wallet, containing $130, at knifepoint at 1:40 a.m. July 31.

North Kenmore Avenue, 1200 block--Approaching a parked car, thieves with a knife stole credit cards and $60 at 9:20 p.m. July 31.

Ambrose Avenue, 4600 block--Thieves with a gun stole a woman’s purse containing $155 at 1:20 a.m. Aug. 1.

North Hoover Street, 2000 block--A woman approaching her front door heard footsteps and turned, only to have a thief throw a sweater over her face and grab her purse, containing $220, at 2:35 a.m. Aug. 1.

Sunset Boulevard and Mariposa Avenue--A thief opened a man’s car door, pointed a sharp object at him and stole $200 at 5:30 a.m. Aug. 1.

Mount Washington

Crane Boulevard, 400 block--After smashing a bathroom window, thieves entered a private residence and stole guns and computer equipment, valued together at $4,890, between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. July 26.

North Avenue 50, 400 block--Thieves entered a private residence through an unlocked front door and stole cash, papers and binoculars, valued together at $160, between 2:15 and 3:15 p.m. July 28.

North Figueroa Street, 3900 block--Thieves with a gun stole cash and liquor, valued together at $508, from a liquor store at 11 p.m. July 28.

North Figueroa Street, 400 block--Thieves stole a TV and radio, valued together at $2,535, from a rental storage shed in a theft discovered July 29.

Silver Lake

Windsor Avenue, 3000 block--Armed robbers confronted a man in a car and took credit cards and $435 at 4:15 p.m. July 26.

Silverlake Boulevard, 1600 block--Five thieves with a gun ordered a liquor store employee to “chill” while they ate food valued at $63, then left at 1:30 a.m. July 27.

Hyperion Avenue, 1100 block--Thieves stole cash and clothing, valued together at $1,370, from a private residence between 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. July 27.

Glendale and Silverlake boulevards--Thieves held a knife to a man and demanded that he withdraw money from an ATM, stealing $120 at 9:30 p.m. July 29.
