Unsigned Miami Dolphin running back Bobby Humphrey ignored the team’s ultimatum to report or risk a cut in the team’s standing offer and remained a holdout Wednesday.

Dolphin General Manager Eddie Jones said the offer, believed to be $650,000, was reduced Wednesday because the four-year running back failed to report.

Jones wouldn’t reveal details of the reduction, but said the offer would be reduced each week Humphrey continues his holdout. Humphrey’s original request for $1.9 million has dropped to $1.2 million.

Dallas Cowboy starting fullback Daryl Johnston probably will miss the rest of the exhibition schedule because of a broken finger on his right hand suffered during practice, the team said. . . . The San Diego Chargers said defensive tackle Shawn Lee, a projected starter, will be out four to six weeks because of a broken right leg suffered in practice Tuesday. Lee was thought to have a bruised calf. . . . Phoenix Cardinal quarterback Chris Chandler returned to practice and Coach Joe Bugel said he will be part of the three-man rotation in Saturday’s exhibition at Chicago. Chandler, who injured his left ankle in the opening exhibition game, and free agent Steve Beuerlein are competing for the starting position.
