A 24-year-old man died early Saturday after he was shot, apparently while driving near Koreatown, Los Angeles police said.
Officers responding to reports of a traffic accident at Venice Boulevard and Normandie Avenue about 1:30 a.m. found that a bullet-riddled car had smashed into a light standard, Officer Lorne Gilsig said. The victim, who was not identified, was discovered inside with a bullet wound.
He was taken to California Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, Gilsig said.
“The exact location of the shooting and the motive are unknown,” Gilsig said. “There were no witnesses and the murder weapon is outstanding. It’s your basic whodunit.”
