Grant 28, Verdugo Hills 0--Ray Singleton completed six of nine passes for 136 yards and two touchdowns, and rushed for 58 yards in 10 carries to lead the host Lancers.
Leading, 7-0, after the first quarter, Grant took charge by scoring two touchdowns during a two-minute stretch late in the half.
Running back Rod Singleton caught a screen pass from his twin brother, Ray, and turned it into a 75-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Three plays later, Ray Singleton threw a 28-yard scoring strike to Alex Rose.
Grant’s defense held Verdugo Hills to 120 yards. Dons’ quarterback David Bryant was limited to 38 yards passing.
