Freight Train Kills Man on Sylmar Tracks
SYLMAR —
A Southern Pacific freight train struck and killed a man Thursday at Bleeker Street and San Fernando Road, authorities reported.
The man, who was not identified, was found dead on the tracks about 8:25 p.m., Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher Brian Humphrey said.
Los Angeles Police Sgt. Joe Flores said the man was hit by the freight train some time Thursday evening, but authorities did not know the exact time.
