First Cabin Stables’ Individual Style looked every bit the part of a 1-2 favorite, leading the $50,000-guaranteed Beau Brummel Stakes from start to finish, and Wild Express and Southern Express finished in a dead heat for first in the $48,000 Las Ninas Stakes, highlighting the second racing day at Fairplex Park Friday. Individual Style took command at the start of the 6 1/2-furlong Beau Brummel and won by six lengths under David Flores. The winner carried 122 pounds over a fast track in 1:16 4/5 and earned $27,500.
Flores gained a share of the Las Ninas by driving Southern Switch to finish on even terms with the pace-setting Wild Express, who was ridden by Martin Pedroza. Time for the 6 1/2 furlongs was 1:17 4/5.
