Bozman’s Four Touchdowns Help Los Alamitos Rout Blair

Enrique Bozman scored four touchdowns in the first half Friday and Los Alamitos rolled to a 49-0 victory over Pasadena Blair at Cerritos College.

Bozman, a senior transfer from Bellflower High School, finished with 134 yards in 12 carries. He and several other Los Alamitos starters didn’t play much after the first series of the second half.

Bozman scored on runs of one, 43, 47 and one yards for Los Alamitos (2-0), ranked No. 2 in Orange County behind Mater Dei, which lost to Esperanza, 33-7. Los Alamitos is also ranked No. 1 in the Southern Section Division II poll.

Los Alamitos led, 14-0, midway through the second quarter, the Griffins’ second score coming on Bozman’s 43-yard run. On the ensuing kickoff, a Blair return man failed to pick up the ball near the five-yard line. Los Alamitos recovered and had a first and goal at the Viking one.

Bozman scored on the next play, and the Griffins led, 28-0, with 5 minutes 29 seconds left in the first half.

Los Alamitos scored on five of six first-half possessions and needed just 6:58 to do it. The Griffins had 248 yards in total offense in the half and 363 in the game. Blair (0-1) was held to 136 yards, including 64 in the first quarter.

Blair started the game with a drive that covered 49 yards but turned the ball over on downs at the Los Alamitos 32.
