COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Northridge Falls in Men’s Soccer

UC San Diego got goals from Joel Kosakoff and Ken Fujii to defeat Cal State Northridge, 2-1, Saturday in the third-place match of the four-team University of San Diego men’s soccer tournament.
The Matadors averted a shutout when Raja Hawa scored on an assist from Armando Valdivia with three minutes remaining.
Northridge (5-5) has finished last in two four-team tournaments this season. UC San Diego improved to 6-2.
WOMEN’S SOCCER
Cal Lutheran 6, Occidental 0--Rachel Wackerman scored her 92nd and 93rd career goals to lead the Regals to a Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory at Cal Lutheran.
WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL
The Master’s d. Bethany College, 15-4, 15-9, 16-14--Wendy Jones had 12 kills to lead the Mustangs to their seventh victory in their last eight matches.
