The Lakers play the Washington Bullets tonight at Charleston, W. Va., in the opener of a three-game trip that also serves as the final leg of their exhibition schedule.

General Manager Jerry West, a West Virginia native, and guard Sedale Threatt, a product of West Virginia Tech, will be honored in halftime ceremonies. Among those expected to attend are West Virginia Gov. Gaston Caperton and Fred Schaus, the first L.A. Laker coach.

Anthony Peeler (tendinitis right knee) and Doug Christie (sprained left ankle) are sidelined. Kurt Rambis, who has tendinitis in his left knee, has been cleared for light practices, but is not expected to play tonight.
