PRO FOOTBALL / DAILY REPORT : AROUND THE NFL : Montana Is Sidelined Again
Quarterback Joe Montana was on crutches with his worst hamstring injury to date, and running back Harvey Williams was headed back to Kansas City with an apparent concussion.
Williams, removed from the field Sunday on a stretcher after suffering a neck injury in the second quarter of the Chiefs’ 30-10 loss to Miami, spent the night in the North Broward Medical Center in Pompano Beach, Fla.
Neither is expected to play against Green Bay next Monday night.

Running back Reggie Cobb of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be sidelined for at least two weeks because of a strained left knee. . . . Quarterback Jim McMahon remained in pain Monday after suffering a dislocated left shoulder against the Detroit Lions and is a doubtful starter for the Minnesota Vikings’ game against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday. . . . David Klingler’s back was still sore, so Jay Schroeder will make his second start as the Cincinnati Bengals’ quarterback next Sunday against Pittsburgh.
