COLLEGE FOOTBALL / DAILY REPORT : AROUND THE NATION : Huskies’ Bjornson to Start
The Washington Huskies have turned to a new starting quarterback to boost their beleaguered football team.
Coach Jim Lambright said junior Eric Bjornson will take over from sophomore Damon Huard as the team’s No. 1 quarterback. Bjornson will make his first collegiate start Saturday at Oregon State.
The change comes after a 32-17 loss last Saturday at Arizona State. Lambright yanked Huard in the second quarter and replaced him with Bjornson, who completed 17 of 32 passes for 186 yards with one interception.
