ANAHEIM : Hospital Seeks Help in Identifying Patient

Share

Kaiser Permanente Hospital-Orange County officials sought public help Friday to identify a man brought to the hospital last week after suffering an epileptic seizure.

The man, thought to be in his late 20s or early 30s, is unable to speak or write, according to spokeswoman Donna Donan.

“We’re just hoping that someone will be able to identify him,” Donan said. She said the man seems to have some brain damage, and may have been born mute. “There’s no way to tell for sure, since we don’t have a family history,” she said.

Donan said the man was found the night of Oct. 28 in the Vons shopping center at 8010 Santa Ana Canyon Road in Anaheim Hills.

“He fell down. He was knocked out for a while,” Donan said.

The man is now alert and awake, but hospital workers are unable to get any written or spoken information from him, Donan said. He carried no identification.

The man is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and was wearing brown pants, a brown and purple shirt and a red jacket labeled “R&J; Ent.”

Anyone with information about the man is asked to call the hospital at (714) 978-4176.
