Sepulveda’s Kuhn Wins Senior Event

Marie Kuhn of Sepulveda outlasted JoNell McClellan of Palos Verdes to win the Women’s Public Links Golf Assn. senior tournament title at Green River Golf Club in Corona.
Kuhn shot an 83 and defeated McClellan in a sudden-death playoff.

Organizers and sponsors of the GTE West Classic, a Senior PGA Tour event to be held Feb. 28 through March 6 at Ojai Valley Inn and Country Club, have offered a pair of free tickets to firefighters who helped extinguish the recent blazes throughout Southern California.
Al Geiberger, the defending champion, is expected to play along with Arnold Palmer, Chi Chi Rodriguez, Gary Player, Dave Stockton and Isao Aoki.

John Wooden, legendary UCLA basketball coach who led the Bruins to 10 NCAA national championships, will be guest speaker Saturday at 1 p.m. at Agoura High in a season tip-off celebration for the school’s basketball team.
