COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Cypress Wins Playoff Game in Overtime

Traci Osman scored the winning goal in the final minute of the second overtime Saturday to advance unbeaten and No. 1-ranked Cypress to the finals of the Southern California women’s soccer playoffs with a 2-1 victory over Mt. San Antonio at Cypress.
Cypress (22-0-1) will play No. 4 El Camino at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cypress.
Cypress was forced to overtime after Mt. San Antonio’s Lynsee Mallett tied the game, 1-1, in the final minute of regulation.
Cypress’ Tracy Van Herk opened the scoring with a goal two minutes into the second half.
Mt. San Antonio finished at 14-3-2.
In nonconference men’s basketball:
Irvine Valley 89, Pasadena 86--Damon Sims and Rashad Wilson had 20 points to lead Irvine Valley (3-2).
In nonconference women’s basketball:
Golden West 61, College of the Sequoias 57--Julie Murdent scored 15 points and Deana Itoy 13 for visiting Golden West (5-1). Felicia Corral had five three-pointers for College of the Sequoias (5-1).
Orange Coast 84, Victor Valley 65--Leann Kazmar had 33 points and nine rebounds for visiting Orange Coast (4-2).
Ventura 68, Fullerton 64--Nikki Kubota had 19 points and nine rebounds for host Fullerton (5-3).
