Bishop Montgomery to Play Los Gatos for State Division III Volleyball Title
The Bishop Montgomery High girls’ volleyball team will play Los Gatos in the State Division III championship match at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Cal State Fullerton.
Bishop Montgomery (19-4) extended its streak of not having lost a game in the state tournament by defeating Bakersfield Stockdale, 15-7, 15-11, 15-9, in the semifinals Tuesday at Bishop Montgomery. Cindy Weglarz led the Knights with a match-high 25 kills.
Los Gatos, representing Northern California, had a tougher time in its semifinal, advancing with a 15-7, 10-15, 15-10, 4-15, 15-10 victory over Livermore Granada.
