COLLEGE ROUNDUP : SCC Men Routed by Pomona-Pitzer
Bill Cover scored 15 points for Pomona-Pitzer (5-3), which defeated Southern California College, 71-53, Saturday night in a nonconference men’s basketball game.
Cover’s points set a career record at Pomona-Pitzer with a total of 1,395 points. The old record of 1,390 points was set by Rick Duque in 1989.
Danin Bryant had 13 points for Southern California College (5-4).
In nonconference women’s basketball:
Southern California College 53, Biola 35--Tina Demarsh and Nicole Kelley scored 13 points each to lead SCC (7-3). SCC outscored Biola, 28-12, in the second half to pull away from a two-point halftime lead.
