In other Tournament of Champions games:

Mater Dei 76, Long Beach St. Anthony 60--Miles Simon had 29 points and Shaun Jackson added 22 and 14 rebounds for Mater Dei (6-0). Dustin Hankin led St. Anthony (3-3) with 30 points, including eight three-pointers.

Ocean View 63, Los Angeles Brentwood 55--Kevin Johnson had 19 points and Dan McDonald had 13 for Ocean View (2-2).

In the Sonora tournament:

Sonora 51, Rancho Alamitos 33--Chad Fister had 16 points for Sonora (6-1) in the first round.

Westminster 56, La Mirada 54--Jimmy Edwards’ three-point play with 30 seconds left put Westminster (2-2) ahead for good, in a first-round game. Edwards, a sophomore, finished with 16 points.

Troy 71, Southern California Christian 41--Greg Abbott had 29 points and 10 rebounds for Troy (5-2).

In nonleague play:

Trabuco Hills 70, El Toro 69--The Mustangs scored 14 consecutive points in the final 1:53 to come back from a nine-point deficit. After trailing, 66-57, with 1:53 left, the host Mustangs (4-2) took the lead, 68-66, on Ryan Karnoff’s four-point play with 51 seconds left.

Karnoff was fouled making his school-record tying seventh three-point shot and made the free throw. Brett Poulos made seven three-pointers last season.

Karnoff, who scored 29 points, extended the Mustangs’ lead to four with two free throws before Trent Meng made a half-court three-point shot at the buzzer for El Toro (5-3).
