Esperanza, Jr.

After her fourth-place finish in the Orange County Championships, she ran to a sixth-place showing at the State Division I finals. She also finished third in the Southern Section Division I-A finals and tied for the Empire League individual title.

JESSICA CORBIN

Irvine, So.

She got on a roll late in the year, winning the Sea View League title, following with a second-place finish in the Southern Section Division I-A race. She led Irvine to the State Division I title and No. 1 ranking by finishing third overall.

ELIASER ESTRADA

Santa Ana Valley, Jr.

The surprise of the season, she finished third in the Orange County Championships and second in the Century League finals. She finished seventh in the State finals after placing fourth in the Southern Section Division I-AA finals.

CARRIE GARRITSON

Buena Park, Sr.

Capped a spectacular undefeated season in the county by qualifying for her fourth consecutive Foot Locker National Championships race. She won Orange County Championships, Southern Section Division II and State Division II titles.

DRESDEN HOWELL

Corona del Mar, Jr.

Leader of the Sea Kings for the majority of the season, she won the Southern Section Division III-A title after finishing fifth in the Sea View League finals. Finished fifth in the county championships for Corona del Mar, which won Sea View title.

KIM NELSON

Canyon, Sr.

Century League winner for the fourth time, she finished second in the county championships. Led Comanches to a second-place finish in the State Division II race by finishing fourth overall, and to a second-place finish in the section Division II race.

KATIE NUANES

Santa Margarita, Fr.

It’s too bad for Nuanes that the season had to end because she got faster with every passing week. Second in the section Division III-A finals, she paced the Eagles to the State Division III championship with a fourth-place finish.
