Homeowners and business owners who suffered property damage in the fall firestorms will have until Feb. 25 to file for Small Business Administration low-interest loans, the SBA said Thursday.

The agency has approved 460 disaster loans totaling more than $31 million to Southern Californians as a result of the fires, according to Mike Howland, acting regional administrator of the agency in San Francisco.

Loans are available to homeowners for up to $100,000 to repair or replace damaged real estate. Homeowners and renters are eligible for loans of up to $20,000 for personal property losses. Business owners may qualify for up to $1.5 million.
