A 21-year-old Palmdale man surrendered to sheriff’s deputies Friday after learning he was suspected of stabbing to death one man and wounding another in an early-morning dispute in a restaurant parking lot, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.

Paul Lefeve was booked at the Antelope Valley sheriff’s station on suspicion of murder, said Irma Becerra, a Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman. He was held without bail.

Deputies were still searching for a second suspect, Becerra said.

A dispute among four men broke out about 1:40 a.m. at O’Hara’s Cantina on Valley Central Way after it closed for the evening, Becerra said. The group continued arguing as the victims walked to their cars, which were parked across the street at the Black Angus Restaurant.

“Before the two victims had a chance to reach the parking lot, they were assaulted by Lefeve and his partner,” Becerra said.

One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene with multiple stab wounds. The second was treated and released at Antelope Valley Hospital.

Sheriff’s deputies withheld the identities of the two victims pending notification of their families.
