COLLEGE FOOTBALL / DAILY BOWL REPORT : COTTON : Texas A&M; Knows the Bowl Routine
Inasmuch as this is Texas A&M;’s third consecutive trip to the Cotton Bowl, Aggie Coach R.C. Slocum has his weeklong preparation schedule in order.
“We’ve got the routine down,” Slocum said as his team began its first practice in Dallas before the New Year’s Day game against Notre Dame. “We’re ready to work. Everything has gone very smoothly.”
The Aggies gathered at the hotel after spending Christmas at home. Since most players live within a few hours’ drive of Dallas, each was responsible for his own transportation and all were on time, Slocum said.
