COLLEGE FOOTBALL / DAILY BOWL REPORT : FIESTA BOWL : Erickson’s Son Out for Rule Violations
Bryce Erickson, a Miami freshman quarterback and son of Coach Dennis Erickson, violated team rules and will not attend today’s game against Arizona, Miami officials said.
The officials said Friday night the unspecified rule violations occurred in connection with Bryce Erickson’s involvement in an early morning altercation in which police said he slapped a woman.
No one was arrested in the 2:30 a.m. incident on a lawn area of the hotel where the Miami team was staying.
Bryce Erickson, fourth on Miami’s quarterback depth chart, was not expected to play today.
