Share

A man pulled a gun on an Oxnard video-store clerk Saturday, forcing her to empty the cash register and her own purse before he fled on foot, police said.

The man entered Video Adventures on West Patterson Road about 3 p.m. and asked clerk Hea Han for help with a video rental, according to Oxnard police. When Han requested the man’s rental card, he instead produced a handgun and demanded the money from the cash drawer, police said.

After Han complied, police said the man then searched for more money in the store’s office. Finding none, he forced Han to empty her purse, and he emptied her wallet.
