CAMARILLO : Hospital Foundation Chairwoman Named
Willaine Conroy of Camarillo has been named chairwoman of the board of directors of St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital Foundation, officials said.
Conroy, 49, succeeds C. Douglas Off as foundation leader. As chairwoman of the board, Conroy said she will concentrate on generating community support for the Camarillo-based hospital, which last year was merged with St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard.
“We want to get the word out that we are here to serve and help the community by working to strengthen local health care,” said Conroy, who was installed Jan. 11. “Now that we are in a stable position and on the upswing, I am confident that we will be able to re-establish strong community rapport (for the hospital).”
A member of the foundation’s board of directors since 1991, Conroy added that she will also focus on increasing Pleasant Valley’s hospital endowment fund.
