Freshman center Jerohn Brown scored eight of his 20 points in the second overtime, leading Oregon State to a 101-91 victory over Oregon on Saturday at Corvallis.

Oregon State, 6-13 overall and 2-8 in the Pacific 10, forced the first overtime when freshman guard Jelani Boline sank a three-pointer with 0.4 seconds remaining.

The Ducks (6-13, 2-8) had rallied from a 15-point second-half deficit, but they squandered chances to win, both in regulation and the first overtime.

“The shot that Jelani hit was the one where you’re going down for the fourth time and it pulls you out of the water,” Oregon State Coach Jim Anderson said. “That certainly was the difference.”

In regulation, Oregon led, 73-71, but Kenya Wilkins hit only one of two free throws with 5.4 seconds left. Boline then dribbled the length of the floor and made his three-pointer.

In the first overtime, Oregon’s Orlando Williams, who had a game-high 30 points, traveled at the free-throw line with 4.5 seconds left and the score tied, 80-80.

It was Oregon’s 27th consecutive road loss in conference play.

Arizona State 71, Stanford 69--Mario Bennett scored 22 points and had 11 rebounds for the Sun Devils, who rallied from a 19-point deficit at Palo Alto.

Stanford (13-7, 6-5) tied the score, 69-69, with 22 seconds remaining on a free throw by Andy Poppink. But Ron Riley, fouled by David Harbour, hit two free throws with 17 seconds to play to put Arizona State back on top.

Brevin Knight was fouled with two seconds left and missed both free throws as Arizona State (12-8, 7-4) hung on to win.
