County to Experience Lower Temperatures

Share

Ventura County is expected to cool off today after unseasonably warm weather earlier in the week, the National Weather Service said Wednesday.

The cooling trend began Wednesday as ocean breezes picked up at midday, keeping local temperatures in the low 80s, said Bruce Entwistle, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service.

“The only (temperature) records we had in Southern California were in Los Angeles,” Entwistle said. “The temperatures in Ventura actually started to fall at midday with the light onshore flow of wind.”

Temperatures are expected to drop to more seasonable levels over the next five days as morning fog and patchy clouds move into the area, Entwistle said.

No rain is forecast over the next five days, he said.
