OUTLOOK

Although the Vikings were ranked 11th in the nation is USA Today’s preseason poll, they were unranked in the Orange County poll. Fountain Valley, ranked ninth in Orange County, beat Marina, 5-4, in the quarterfinals of the Loara tournament Tuesday. Renfrow said he hopes Sailor and Sipkovich will step up as seniors to lead Marina in the tough Sunset League. “If the pitching stays healthy, it could be a good year,” Renfrow said. The rest of the team isn’t bad either, with eight starters returning.
