NBA ROUNDUP : Pippen Stars Despite Bad Night

Scottie Pippen scored only 17 points on five-for-13 shooting, had a game-high six turnovers and was called for a technical foul with 3:07 left with the Chicago Bulls trailing the Boston Celtics by a point Wednesday night at Boston.

But Pippen hit a three-pointer with 51 seconds left to break a 98-98 tie and give the Bulls a 101-100 victory.

Pippen’s winning shot was the only three-pointer of the game. Boston’s Dee Brown missed a three-pointer with 2.4 seconds left.

Alonzo Mourning scored 20 points and had three blocked shots as the Charlotte Hornets limited Atlanta to 35% shooting in a 92-79 victory at Charlotte. . . .
