One man was stabbed and another hit over the head with a pool cue during an east Ventura bar brawl that police were called twice to quell, authorities said.

Dustin Lee Peck, 21, of Oxnard was arrested Wednesday for allegedly assaulting Robert Conrad Lemay with a knife after the pair clashed at The Petty Pub, Ventura police said.

Lemay, 35, of Ventura was treated for stab wounds at the Ventura County Medical Center and was released, said a nursing supervisor. Peck was treated for a head laceration and was released, she said.

Police were called to the bar at 1091 Scandia Ave. about 7:30 p.m., when Peck allegedly pulled a knife and began threatening Lemay, officials said.

Peck left with friends before police arrived but returned about 90 minutes later, officials said. Peck entered the pub and again confronted Lemay, stabbing him during the fight, police said.

Other bar patrons jumped in and Peck was struck over the head with a pool cue, officials said. While the melee inside was taking place, a juvenile who returned to the bar with Peck slashed six tires outside the pub, police said.

That youth, whose name was not released, was cited for vandalism and released to his parents, authorities said. Peck was released pending a review of the case by the district attorney’s office, police said.
