CYPRESS : Cerritos Man Dies in Crash With Bus
A 67-year-old man was killed Thursday morning when his car crashed into the back of an Orange County Transit Authority bus on Lincoln Avenue near Grindlay Street, police said.
Ki Duck Lee of Cerritos was westbound on Lincoln Avenue when his car collided with the bus, which was preparing to pull away from a bus stop on the north side of the street, said Police Sgt. Ray Peterson.
Lee suffered head and chest injuries in the 9:30 a.m. accident and was taken to La Palma Intercommunity Hospital, where he died a short time later. The bus driver and his four passengers were not injured, police said.
A second OCTA bus was sent to the scene to pick up the four passengers and complete the morning route, said OCTA spokesman John Standiford.
Police said there were no skid marks at the scene of the accident and it is unknown how fast Lee was traveling when the accident occurred.
