PREP GOLF ROUNDUP : Servite Defeats Marina in Sunset League Match

Jeff McGraw, a sophomore, shot par 33 as Servite beat Marina, 188-198, in a Sunset League golf match Thursday at Fullerton Municipal.

Mike Lauder shot four-over 37 to lead the first-place Friars (9-1, 4-0 in league).

Fountain Valley 213, Ocean View 222--John Metcalf shot five-over 41 for Fountain Valley (3-4, 1-3) at Mile Square.

Huntington Beach 193, Westminster 214--Greg Uberuaga shot par 35 for Huntington Beach (6-1, 3-1) at Meadowlark.

In the South Coast League:

Capistrano Valley 215, Mission Viejo 237--Scott Rynders shot three-over 38 for Capistrano Valley (7-1, 1-1) at Marbella.

Dana Hills 214, El Toro 228--Aaron Smith shot 40 and Brian Murphy 41 at El Niguel to keep the Dolphins (3-1, 2-0) undefeated in league. The Chargers fell to 1-1 in league.

In the Century League:

Villa Park 204, Foothill 216--Jay Finnane shot two-over 38 for Villa Park (4-4, 2-0) at Green River. Chris Bieler shot 39 for Foothill (1-2 in league).

In the Garden Grove League:

Los Amigos 211, Rancho Alamitos 271--Matt Stafford shot four-over 40 and teammate Jed Smith shot 42 at Mile Square for Los Amigos (9-2, 1-0).

In the Empire League:

Esperanza 209, Cypress 243--Chris Berry shot four-over 39 and Bill Kelly shot 40 for Esperanza at Yorba Linda Country Club.

Los Alamitos 198, Loara 226--Bret Yunker shot two-over 37, Jason Duff shot three-over 38 and Darin Hall shot four-over 39 to lead Los Alamitos (5-0, 2-0) at Cypress Golf Course.

In the Pacific Coast League:

Laguna Hills 205, Laguna Beach 246--Gene Bastnagel shot two-over 38 and Matt Schultheis shot 39 for Laguna Hills (2-6, 1-1) at Laguna Hills Leisure World.

Estancia 204, Costa Mesa 232--Chris Sandro and Ross Necessary each shot three-over 39 for Estancia (5-2, 2-0) at Mesa Verde. Costa Mesa is 4-2, 0-1.

In nonleague golf:

El Dorado 210, Pacifica 251--Ryan Chavez was the medalist for El Dorado (7-3), shooting three-over 38 at Western Hills.

El Modena 411, Orange Lutheran 487--Sean Brocklebank shot seven-over 76 at Riverview and Green River for El Modena (4-4). Rene Mendez shot 79 for Orange Lutheran (1-7).
