COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Park Gives Dons Victory

Brenda Park had an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift Rancho Santiago to a 4-3 victory over Fullerton in a second-round game of the Fullerton softball tournament Sunday.

Renee Taylor, a freshman left-fielder from Capistrano Valley High School, set a Rancho Santiago single-season record with her 14th double.

The Dons (16-11) scored three runs in the first inning and held on to beat Pasadena, 3-2, in a first-round game also Sunday.

In the College of the Sequoias tournament:

Cypress 5, Skyline 1--Theresa Agpalsa had two hits and drove in a run for Cypress (24-10). The Chargers play Sequoias at 11 a.m. today in a second-round game.
