MOORPARK : Sports Complex Nears Completion
A Moorpark citizens group has completed construction on the first phase of a track-and-field facility at the city’s athletic stadium and sports complex.
Using about $131,000 in donated labor and equipment, the Moorpark Athletic Community Complex Foundation was able to complete everything except the final layer of all-weather surfacing on the nine-lane track, said MACC vice president Barbara Loczi.
Plans for the athletic stadium and sports complex, which is being built next to Moorpark High School, include a $2-million Olympic-size swimming pool and a weight room for students, Loczi said.
